Mitsubishi PH announced Xpander recall
MANILA: Do you own a Mitsubishi Xpander? If you do, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) has just announced Xpander recall and replacement for faulty pumps, for units purchased between May 2018 and October 22, 2019.
If you are one of the owners of a new Xpander MPV and wondering why your vehicle would suddenly stall while driving or having difficulty to start your vehicle, well Mitsubishi has finally found the culprit. It’s the faulty fuel pump. However, MMPC did not delve into details as to what causes the fuel pump to fail. But they did offer an apology stating:
“We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to our customers by the recent technical issue being encountered in our Xpander model. We have started receiving service complaints regarding the fuel pump issue sometime in April. We are currently looking into the cause of this issue and have expedited the arrival of affected part this month for distribution.”
MMPC also encourages its affected customers to call their preferred dealership first so they could schedule and book a preventive maintenance appointment to replace the affected fuel pump installed in the Mitsubishi Xpander model. The procedure will only take approximately an hour and a half. But since there will be a lot of customers wanting to have their Xpander checked, it is best to call your preferred Mitsubishi dealership first to lessen the hassle of waiting on queue and ensure that there is an available service bay and replacement fuel pump.
For any other concerns or inquiries, MMPC encourages its customers to call or visit any of the Mitsubishi Motors Philippines dealership nationwide.
