Mitsubishi PH Denies on Montero Sport's SUA Defect

MANILA: Mitsubishi PH or better known as Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp., in a press conference at Mandaluyong has loud and clearly denied on its Montero Sport being unsafe or defective, thus, clearing the accusations on its cash cow, the mid-size SUV.

The statement given by Mitsubishi Philippines mainly meant that they have conducted all investigations and tests with the principal Mitsubishi Motors Corporation of Japan (MMC) to figure out the cause of the alleged sudden unintended acceleration (SUA) and they have considered the following causes, mechanical or electronic failure, pedal misapplication, pedal impediment, and sticky gas pedal. But, none of these are the reasons behind Montero Sport's SUA problem and the car is 100% reliable and safe.

Thus, they have assured the public that the performance of Montero Sport completely depends on driver's action and the vehicle will move upon his intervention only.
