Mitsubishi PH unveils 2023 Xpander Cross

MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has officially launched the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross.

The 2023 Xpander Cross is a modern seven-seater MPV crossover with SUV characteristics. The latest version of Mitsubishi's best-selling model redefines the MPV market by combining luxury and comfort often found in higher-end vehicles with a more contemporary and dynamic design.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross was designed to convey a more “active” and “outdoorsy” impression. It now has a taller stance, thanks to the black wheel arch moldings, door garnishes, and side sills, while the guard bar motif rails on the front and rear bumpers give them a more aggressive look. Roof rails are also included as standard equipment with the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross.

Furthermore, it has T-shaped LED headlights with daytime running lights (DRL) and LED fog lamps.

The newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels further enhance the aggressive look of the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross. The rear also looks bolder, with T-shaped LED taillights that seamlessly integrates into the tailgate garnish.

Comfort and convenience were taken into consideration when redesigning the interior. The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross offers a unique blend of high-end features, some of which are exclusive to Mitsubishi's premium vehicles.

The “Horizontal Axis” dashboard that the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross projects at the front seamlessly combines all of the interior components. The new navy blue shade of the soft cushioned materials with genuine stitching extends across the dashboard.

The new four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, which is tilt- and telescopic-adjustable and has a more robust design for improved grip, is instantly noticeable at the driver's seat and is evocative of Mitsubishi Montero Sport. For better handling at low speeds, the steering wheel return control has been accelerated. A new, highly visible eight-inch LCD digital meter cluster is located behind the steering wheel. This makes it easy to access and provide multiple information needed for driving.

All controls are easy to reach, and the central console ensures seamless pairing with smart devices. There is also a  digital AC system with a max cool button for quick in-cabin cooling. All of the seats are covered in innovative leather and have navy blue stitching and soft-touch padding. Its heat guard technology prevents any increase in surface temperature.

The seven-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA-3) system makes rides more enjoyable. This touchscreen infotainment system has hands-free functions and support for Google Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The front console has been redesigned into a larger capacity open tray with a 12V outlet and USB port for greater convenience.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross also features a spacious luggage compartment, adjustable seating layout, and versatile storage spaces.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross has more than enough space to accommodate seven full-size adults and their luggage with all the seats up. It is designed to have more hip-width and head-to-toe space. The rear cargo's versatility makes it easier to load bikes, camping equipment, or any other bulky items.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross has been tuned for both comfort and safety while driving. It adopts the rear suspension system components of the Mitsubishi Montero Sport. The larger rear shock absorber makes the ride more stable and comfortable, especially on bumpy roads. This guarantees that every drive is safe and enjoyable, together with advanced safety systems like Active Stability Control (ASC), Hill Start Assist (HAS), and Traction Control (TCL).

The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross maintains its position as the finest in its class with its 225mm high ground clearance. This gives the driver a higher eye-point so they can see the road better and have more confidence, especially when driving through floods.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross is powered by a 1.5 MIVEC DOHC 16-valve engine that produces 104hp and 141Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a four-speed automatic transmission.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross is available in four exterior colors: Sunrise Orange Metallic (Two-Tone), Quartz White Pearl (Two-Tone), Graphite Gray Metallic, and Blade Silver Metallic.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross is priced at P1.328 million for the monotone variants, P1.338 million for Sunrise Orange Metallic, and P1.353 million for Quartz White Pearl.
