Mitsubishi Xpander deliveries to start by the end of May 2018

MANILA: The wait is finally over. Mitsubishi Xpander is here and ready to roll out of the dealership outlets. As per Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC), the first Xpander shipment has arrived in the country. The customer deliveries of Xpander will commence by the end of this May.

By the end of April 2018, the model registered over 3,800 bookings. Clearly, defines its popularity and craze among the Filipinos. Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, the president and CEO of MMPC said, “With the all-new Xpander's class-leading features and with its very competitive pricing, we are looking at the great success of this model,"

"We thank the Filipinos for their warm market acceptance and we hope to have the same success that this model is currently reaping in Indonesia”, he added.

The all-new Xpander is imported from the company's manufacturing facility, Krama Yudha situated in Bekasi, Indonesia. The plant is good enough to produce 160,000 units in a year. Of late 50 percent of the total units produced were Xpander, which is incredible.

The company has already sold more than 66,000 units in Indonesia alone. Mitsubishi is planning to increase the number of Xpander units produced to 10,000 units a month in order to meet the growing demand in domestic (Indonesian market) as well as international markets.

The Mitsubishi Xpander is powered by a 1.5-litre MIVEC engine that produces a max power of 105 PS and a peak torque of 141 Nm, mated to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic gearbox. It is available in four variants in the Philippines: the GLX M/T (Php 885,000), GLX Premium A/T (Php 960,000), GLS A/T (Php 995,000) and the GLS Sport A/T (Php 1,060,000).
