New Mercedes-Benz US CSR program supports education and safety for future generations
MANILA: Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) has launched "Driving Your Future," a new corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at empowering the next generation. The initiative will support educational programs centered on technology and sustainability, career readiness, and child and teen injury prevention through partnerships with non-profit organizations Safe Kids Worldwide, Junior Achievement USA, and Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund.

MBUSA will fund programs that teach, develop, and empower children throughout their road to a prosperous future by using the cumulative power and expertise of each nonprofit partner. Driving Your Future will collaborate with Safe Kids Worldwide to promote safety and injury prevention awareness; Junior Achievement USA to support financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship skills training; and the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund to give scholarships to military children.

Meanwhile, Safe Kids Worldwide President Torine Creppy said, “Many people might be surprised to learn that preventable injuries are the number one cause of death to children in the United States. Our partnership with Mercedes will help us reach new families to prevent traffic and pedestrian injuries and deaths, and ensure more children have the chance to grow up in a safe environment.”
