  • When will the next-gen Bentley Flying Spur launch?

The next-gen Bentley Flying Spur will be launched on September 10, 2024.
  • To make the launch event more festive, the British carmaker is also releasing a film showcasing the next-gen vehicle’s expanded dynamic capabilities. As hinted by the brand, the said film will feature the car in the hands of several motorsport personalities.

As confirmed by the Crewe-headquartered luxury brand a few weeks ago, the all-new grand touring sedan will use the same Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain found on the all-new Continental GT

To remind readers, the aforementioned powertrain consists of a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 mill paired with a small but peppy electric motor. In total, Bentley’s electrified eight-cylinder system can produce a maximum of 771 horsepower (hp) and 1,000 Newton-meters of torque.

Per the British marque, the new engine represents significant power gains over the Flying Spur’s old powertrain lineup consisting of a 542 hp twin-turbo V8, a 526 hp W12, and a 528 hp twin-turbo V6 hybrid.

Besides being touted as the company’s most powerful and most dynamic sedan ever, Bentley is also promoting the upcoming next-gen Flying Spur as the most efficient sedan in its 105-year-long history. Specifically, it boasts an estimated carbon dioxide emissions rate of just 40 grams per kilometer and an electric-only range of 72 kilometers.

For now, no other specifications have been released by the brand for the all-new Flying Spur, though more details will be released when it finally debuts next week.

In the Philippine market, one of the latest versions of the Bentley Flying Spur likewise utilizes a 2.9-liter V6 hybrid mill. It was launched locally back in 2023, and it is priced at around P40 million.
