Nissan PH adjusts 2021 Navara pricing as gov't lifts safeguard duties

MANILA: Nissan Philippines has adjusted the standard retail price of the recently launched Navara in accordance with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Administrative Order No. 21-04 that terminates the petition for general safeguard measures on the importation of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles based on the formal recommendation from the Tariff Commission.

In a statement, Nissan Philippines President and Managing Director Atsushi Najima said, “Nissan welcomes the decision of the Tariff Commission and Department of Trade and Industry not to implement definitive general safeguard duties on imported vehicles. We believe this move greatly benefits our customers and the automotive industry as a whole.”

The new pricing for the Nissan Navara is indicated below:

Customers who purchased the 2021 Nissan Navara from April 8 to August 11 will receive a non-interest-bearing rebate of the safeguard duties included in the original price announced during the launch of the pickup. Nissan dealerships will contact the customers who are eligible for the rebate to guide them throughout the rebate process.
