Peugeot PH launches new 3008, to open more dealerships
MANILA: Peugeot Philippines continues its brand revamp and aggressive local push by launching the new 3008 SUV and planning to open new dealerships this year.

The SUV is manufactured at the Stellantis plant in Gurun, Malaysia.The new 3008 is priced at P2.09 million and, like the recently launched 5008, is also assembled at the Stellantis manufacturing plant in Gurun, Malaysia.
"All vehicles built in this plant undergo specific endurance and quality testing to deliver "best-in-class performance to meet the needs of customers in Southeast Asia," the company said in a release.
Along with the new 5008, the new 3008 will be on display at the Corte de las Palmas of Alabang Town Center from February 11 to 28, the company added.
The new 3008 wears a redesigned fascia, featuring full LED front headlamps flanked by fang-like DRLs, which is a light signature is in line with the current Peugeot style.
At the rear, the strips of LED lights were inspired by claws. Scrolling turn indicators light up sequentially for added visual clarity to pedestrians and other vehicles.
The lights are covered with smoked glass, extending the black boot lid on each side of the vehicle, which helps to visually widen the rear of the vehicle.
Completing the look are roof rails and 18-inch Los Angeles alloy wheels that add to the overall stylish appeal of the new 3008.
Inside its five-seater cabin, the new 3008's list of equipment include leather seats, panoramic sunroof, wireless mobile phone charging pad, and USB charging ports. The cargo area can be accessed via a powered tailgate.
The new central infotainment touchscreen is 10 inches in size. The screen is high definition, while below it, toggle switches access functions such for the radio, air-conditioning, 3D connected navigation with voice command, vehicle settings, telephone, mobile applications and hazard warning lights.
For safer trips, the new 3008 is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. ADAS consists of Active Blind Spot Detection, Active Lane Keep Assistance, and Advanced Driver Attention Warning.
Under the hood is a 1.6-liter turbocharged mill (165hp and 240Nm of torque), that "coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission, balances excellent performance with fuel efficiency," Peugeot Philippines boasted.
As for the new Peugeot Philippines dealerships, the company's Managing Director Raoul Picello confirmed the company's plans in a release.
"Construction at our new dealership in Alabang is underway and we are on track to open in March. I can also confirm that Peugeot Cebu and Peugeot Davao will begin construction of their new facilities very soon,” Picello said.
"Customer response to our brand has been positive since we re-launched the company last January 17, and we look forward to continue this momentum with each new Peugeot vehicle and showroom that we will introduce to the Philippine market,” he added.
