Peugeot UK announces model year updates for 2008 range

MANILA: Peugeot in the UK has announced upgrades for the 2008 and e-2008 model years, with an expanded trim lineup that delivers improved equipment and exterior aesthetic tweaks. Due to their improved specifications, neither trim level's pricing has changed. Orders can now be placed.

The base trim for the 2008 will change to Active Premium +, which now has gloss black roof rails and dark-tinted rear and side windows, which go well with the gloss black strip at the back of the car and enhance the 2008's attractive style.

As Allure Premium models transition to Allure Premium +, the pedals are now finished in aluminum, which benefits from slight design tweaks for an even more spectacular appearance.

Additionally, Allure Premium Plus variations get Connected 3D Navigation, which comes with a three-year subscription to the Connected Navigation Pack services, which offer real-time traffic updates and speed camera alerts for more convenient travel.

The Connected 3D Navigation system, which was previously only offered as standard on GT trim and higher, incorporates European mapping, 3D city mapping, and voice recognition for radio, navigation, and telephone operations.

Customers still have a choice of a fully electric or effective gasoline powertrain that best suits their needs from the Peugeot 2008 range. Customers have the option of choosing the advanced 1.2L PureTech engines or the zero-emissions-in-use e-2008, which has an estimated range of up to 214 miles and is powered by a 50kWh battery and 100kW electric motor.

With support for 100kW quick charging, a charge from zero to 80 percent may be finished in under 30 minutes.
