MANILA: The initial units of Hyundai N models will arrive in the Philippines by July 2024.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What are the four Hyundai dealerships that will initially retail the N models?

Hyundai Alabang, Commonwealth Avenue, Makati, and Pasig are the first four dealerships that will sell N models locally.
  • What are the Hyundai N models' retail prices?

The Hyundai Elantra N is priced at P2.738 million, while the Ioniq 5 N, P4.25 million.
  • Hyundai Motor Philippines Incorporated (HMPH) made the announcement following the sub-brand’s official launch at the Manila International Auto Show 2024 wherein the company displayed the Elantra N and Ioniq 5 N.

The two offerings under Hyundai’s motorsport-bred division both showcased their performance-based core values namely Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sports Car.

Powered by a 2.0 turbocharged gasoline engine, the Hyundai Elantra N’s mill has a peak churn of 276 horsepower (hp) and 392 Newton-meters of torque. Equipped with N Launch Control, the vehicle can sprint to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) from rest in 5.3 seconds.

It emits a pop and bang sound when upshifting under Sport or N drive modes. The N Grin Shift allows maximum acceleration and gives a 10-hp increase in certain driving conditions for up to 20 seconds.

Available in Atlas White, Abyss Black Pearl, Cyber Gray Metallic and Performance Blue, the Hyundai Elantra N is priced at P2.738 million.

Meanwhile, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N — which is based on the award-winning electric vehicle offering — is moved by an all-wheel drive system made up of front and rear motors with N Grin Boost that can provide an output of 641 horses. The powertrain is mated to an 84- kilowatt-hour battery pack.

EarlierHMPH Managing Director Cecil Capacete told Zigwheels Philippines that the waiting period for the two models —available via indent orders — is up to three months.

4 dealerships sign up to retail N models

Last month, HMPH signed the first four official N dealers for the country — introducing the brand’s outlets in Alabang, Commonwealth Avenue, Makati, and Pasig as those who will pilot Hyundai N in the Philippines.

“We have been getting asked as to why we are already bringing in N. Well, one reason is it supports us, Hyundai, as a brand to become more competitive. Leveraging on our global heritage and accomplishments to set ourselves apart in the market. More importantly, it helps us push further our shared vision, which is to Innovate Everyday. Providing not just exciting mobility solutions but also finding ways to be present in the lives of more Filipino customers”, Capacete said.
