“Through close collaboration with Netflix from the early stages of production, we endeavored to provide a unique atmosphere for our historic vehicles and locations with a newtro (new+retro) vibe that will appeal to every generation, including Millennial and Gen Z audiences. We will continue to explore exhilarating opportunities for our customers to experience and engage with our brand through various partnerships and innovative content,” Hyundai Motor Company Executive Vice President, Global Chief Marketing Officer, and Customer Experience Division Head Thomas Schemera stated.

Hyundai has also released experiential online marketing content for millennial and Gen Z customers to showcase the hipness of the retro models featured in Seoul Vibe.

As part of its promotional campaign for Seoul Vibe, Netflix Philippines offered a discounted fuel price at a gas station in EDSA during the movie’s premiere day. Pre-booked motorists were able to avail fuel for only P7 per liter, similar to the gas price in 1988, when the film is set.
