Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid now available in dealerships nationwide

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH) has officially launched the much awaited Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid.

This Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS), which was first revealed at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show in September 2022, comes standard with Engine Auto Stop Start System (EASS), a 4’2” full color TFT LCD multi-information display, cruise control, automatic headlamps with follow me home function, and fuel-efficient features.

“The introduction of the new Ertiga Hybrid marks a great beginning for SPH as we introduce our first hybrid entry in the market. With the Ertiga being our flagship and best-selling model, incorporating the hybrid technology and other benefits that it has, this makes the product a well-packed choice for our customers,” Suzuki Automobile Philippines Director and General Manager Norihide Takei stated.

The Suzuki Ertiga was expertly designed with a distinct style that makes it stand out from the rest. The aerodynamic roofline and long shoulder line give it a flowing impression from the side. The Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid features a modern front grille, a tailgate with chrome accent, and a “Hybrid” badge.

The interior of the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid offers spacious room for up to seven passengers, which is set up in three rows that can easily be reconfigured.

The Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid is equipped with a D-shaped steering wheel with premium design accents, cruise control, and audio system controls. It also comes with a 10-inch touch screen audio with Smartlink connectivity.

This Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid comes with a fuel-efficient 1.5-liter petrol engine that delivers remarkable torque for quick acceleration, demonstrating Suzuki's innovation in every aspect. The integrated starter generator (ISG) takes the role of the traditional alternator that has the functionality of charging the
battery and electric motor, while assisting with standing starts and acceleration. EASS automatically shuts down the engine when the vehicle is at a stop to save fuel, minimize exhaust emissions, and reduce engine noise for a comfortable ride.

For a pleasant driving experience, the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid comes with a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission, depending on the variant.

As reported by the Automotive Association of the Philippines (AAP), the Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga gives an impressive 12.54 km/L on city driving, which is 7.6% more than the Suzuki Ertiga with regular engine.

The Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid is compliant with EVIDA's implementing rules and regulation, therefore, future owners will enjoy benefits such as15% off on vehicle registration, priority lanes for vehicle and franchise registration, and exemption on number coding.

There are numerous passive and active safety features in the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid. In addition to the standard dual airbags and anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid also has hill-hold control and electronic stability program to help the driver maintain better control of the vehicle.

Serving as the foundation of the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid, Suzuki's TECT (Total-Effective Control Technology) and Heartect platform, which makes the body lighter and more rigid, effectively absorbs impact in case of collision and enhances overall driving dynamics.

The Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid comes in four variants: GA MT (P954,000), GL MT (Php 1.068 million), GL AT (P1.103 million), and GLX AT (P1.153 million). It is available in six exterior colors: Snow White Pearl, Silky Silver Metallic, Cool Black Pearl, Metallic Magma Gray, Burgundy Red Pearl, and Brave Khaki Pearl.
