Suzuki PH donates Avenis, S-Presso units to LTO

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines Incorporated donated five units of Avenis scooters and one unit of S-Presso hatchback to the Land Transportation Office (LTO).

The vehicles were turned over by Suzuki Philippines President Koichiro Hirao and Managing Director Norminio Mojica to LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II on Thursday at the LTO Main Office in East Avenue, Quezon City.

According to the LTO, these vehicles will be used by its enforcers at work and in practical driving examinations for driver’s license application.

“It would enhance our enforcement capability. Mobility is the key for our enforcement and those motorcycles and the vehicle that Suzuki donated would be a big booster to what we are doing right now,” Mendoza stated.

Suzuki Philippines supports the LTO’s campaign to improve land transportation facilities and services and effectively execute transportation laws, rules, and regulations.

“Suzuki hopes that through these vehicles, we will be able to further increase the efficiency of the agency’s operations,” Hirao said.

Mojica also mentioned that Suzuki and LTO have been long-time partners since they worked together for the “Learn to Ride” Program. “We look forward to doing similar activities which aim to foster road safety for all our motorists in the future,” he added.
