Thanksgiving party thrown by GAC Motors after the Kalayaan Cup win

MANILA: In conjunction with Legado Motors, Inc., GAC motors became the first Chinese automobile manufacturer to participate in a Philippine motorsports event. GAC Motors took part in the Manufacturer's Cup for both of the 4-hour and 12-hour races. The car that gave each of the other vehicles a tough challenge and finally won the race was the GAC GA4 1.5L MT Racecar.

A team that consisted of six drivers, managers, coaches, mechanics, and data keepers managed to put up a display of a superb performance at the event. In the commemoration of the win, GAC Motors threw a thanksgiving party for all the people who were involved in making the win a reality. The automaker then displayed the GAC GA4 1.5L MT Racecar at its showroom. The racecar was holding all three of its trophies up on its roof. While the GAC racecar came out as the champion in the 4-hour and 12-hour races, it was the 1st runner up overall for the 4-hour race.

At the thanksgiving party, the GAC Ortigas Branch Head Brennan Lim congratulated the whole team and praised the efforts put in by each individual. This win means a lot for GAC as the automaker has now very successfully proved that Chinese cars are as good as any other car in the market. Irrespective of the brand it belongs to, running continuously for 12 hours like a workhorse is not a small achievement for any car.

However, this is certainly not the end of the road for Legado Motors. The group is aiming at evolving at a rapid pace and participating in races of a higher calibre. We might soon see the GAC racecar participating in another motorsports event in the country.G
