Toyota & Mitsubishi Joins CARS Program in the Philippines
MANILA: The Philippines had been witnessing the happy phase this year, where various sales report, new model line-ups, technologies and other aspects has collared up the country with pride. The cherry on the cake for this country is now the decision made by Toyota & Mitsubishi to uplift the automotive sector through their inclination in joining CARS Program i.e. Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy. For this purpose they have filled accreditation issued by the government. It is surely a great news and marks a bright future for the country. This program is dedicatedly meant for the Philippines, which aims at welcoming investments, create demand and ensure the adherence of industry rules and regulations. Additionally, they facilitate a tenure (time duration) and track down the performance based on the output. They also encourage innovation, switching between technologies, Eco-friendliness, creating more job opportunities and an overall industrial growth and development.
Interestingly, the brand Toyota had been endeavoring to add different shades of success for the Philippines by coming up with some important steps that has been contributing to the growth and sales volume. Now, through this milestone in place there will be major investments made in this sector by these two established and star performing companies. Toyota Motor Company has not left any stone unturned in building a strong reputation (of being an automotive king in the ASIAN market). This can be stated true as it very recently showed its generosity by providing free roadside assistance to its customers, believing to envelop 50% roads. This generous step is said to commence in this holy week. There are various other attractive offerings attached to this set out.
Mr. Osamu Masuko (Mitsubishi Japan chairman and chief executive) mentioned in one of this statements that, “Mitsubishi Motors has been engaged in production and sales business in the Philippines for over 50 years. The Philippines is one of the most important markets for us.” Both the company officials have confirmed this news, and promise to support the local manufacturing automobile companies.
The sight of sheer happiness could be observed from Mitsubishi Motors as well, as they were quite enthusiastic of being able to present some investments in the Philippines Automotive world, believing that it will boost the economic growth with this small yet pertinent stride. Furthermore, it is perceived that an amount of PhP 4.3 billion will be put in the investment bracket for the purpose of establishing the plant and also for expanding the capacity. Seeking this into perspective, the company is all set to employ models like Mirage and Mirage G4 for the purpose of adding them in the production line from the year to come ahead. Also, the contributing automakers will receive an incentive on the production of the 100,001th unit.
In the end, we believe that mobility will witness an increase and there will be better opportunities for the companies to serve its customers. There are probable chances that the other capable brands might come forward to take up this and help further more.
