Vinfast PH confirms VF 3 arrival within Sep. 2024

MANILA: After its debut at the CES 2024 earlier this year, the Vinfast VF 3 is set to enter the Philippine market.

Based on the invitation sent to Zigwheels Philippines, the vehicle is eyed to be unveiled on September 17.

To recall, it was during a meeting with VinFast Philippines Chief Executive Officer Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc last June that the possibility of the mini sport utility vehicle (SUV) joining the lineup was shared.

“We are considering bringing the VF 3, which is a very popular model in Vietnam, to the Philippine market this 2024,” the chief executive said.

In a statement, Vinfast shared that the company delivered the first batch of VF 3 examples to customers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and is planning to deliver at least 20,000 units of the VF 3 by end of the year.

Here are some important details about the upcoming four-seater vehicle.

Set to be the smallest model in the Vinfast lineup in the country, the VF 3 measures 3,190 millimeters (mm) long; 1,679 mm wide; and 1,622 mm tall with a 2,075-mm wheelbase and a 191-mm ground clearance.

The Vinfast VF 3 is powered by an electric motor that can generate more than 40 horses and 110 Newton-meters of torque.

Vinfast Philippines said that the car comes in nine exterior paint options — four standard and five premium colors.

Further, the company is eyeing to give the Vinfast VF 3 a sub-P800,000 price tag.

“As VinFast expands beyond Vietnam, the VF 3's success story could continue in the Philippines and beyond. Offering affordability, customization, and an eco-friendly alternative to gas-guzzling SUVs, the VF 3 is more than just a car; it’s a symbol of change in Southeast Asia’s evolving automotive landscape,” the company stated.
