MANILA: Volvo Cars has achieved a global sales count of 763,389 units for the entirety of 2024. For the Swedish car marque, the said figure is equivalent to an eight percent increase compared to its global annual sales performance in 2023.

Volvo’s best global best-selling vehicle in 2024 is the XC60.Further, the brand shared that it saw significant sales growth when it came to electrified vehicles. Last year, the automaker managed to deliver 175,194 fully electric vehicles (EV) to clients, which is equivalent to a whopping 54 percent increase compared to 2023. Volvo likewise tallied 177,593 global sales for hybrids, or a 46 percent increase, compared to its performance in 2023.
A considerable portion of its global sales consist of EV units. Per Volvo, 23 percent of its cars sold in 2024 were all-electric nameplates. Likewise, the aforementioned saw a 16 percent climb against its EV global sales performance in 2023.
On a regional basis, a majority of Volvo Cars’ sales were thanks to Europe. In the said continent, the Gothenburg-headquartered car brand managed to hand over 369,685 units to its clients. The brand also tallied 125,243 and 156,370 vehicles sold in the United States and China, respectively.

In the Philippine market, Volvo Cars’ latest product is the EX30 EV crossover. As of its launch, it is priced at P2.99 million, and it boasts an attractive exterior as well as a tech-laden but minimalist-looking cabin.
