A 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine coupled to a 48-volt battery powers the Boost Hybrid range.A spectacular new fleet of electrified Volvos is set to dominate Philippine roads with its unbeatable blend of Scandinavian design, state-of-the-art automotive technology, and exquisite craftsmanship. The XC60, XC90, and S90 are already enticing with their expressive forms and eye-catching angles, but they raise the bar with smart interior features, class-leading safety systems, and excellent driving performance.
The Volvo 2022 range in the Philippines also features exterior upgrades. The XC60, for example, has a new grille and front bumper, as well as unique R-Design features that give it a sportier look. The S90 executive sedan, on the other hand, is made even more roomy and luxurious, thanks to Volvo Philippine's inclusion of the long-wheelbase model in the Inscription package. Meanwhile, Volvo's premier luxury SUV, the XC90, becomes even more spectacular with the upgraded comfort and premium features that come with the Inscription grade.
The 2022 Volvo lineup, which is already acclaimed for its superb combination of form and function, has been enhanced to drive occupants in ways they have never felt before. In addition to the visual and functional enhancements, the Volvo Boost range now has an electrified powertrain. Volvo Philippines currently offers the next-generation B6 engine, which makes it the first luxury car company to sell plug-in hybrid vehicles in the country. This development is a continuation of the global drive for all-electric vehicles and sustainability.
The B6 was originally known as the high-powered T6 engine, but with the arrival of the 48V hybrid system with the Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) at its heart, it has been renamed. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine coupled to a 48-volt battery powers the Boost range. This combination produces 313 hp and 460 Nm of torque, which is more than enough to speed around the city or take a trip outside of the metro. The fuel economy has also increased, now sitting at 9.4L/100 km.
In addition to lower fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions, the Boost engine gives a smoother and quicker take-off in the car. By storing brake energy, the vehicle may become more effective and powerful. Among the key attributes of the 2022 Boost Hybrid Range are brake energy recuperation, smooth but greater power, improved daily drivability, fuel economy advancements, improved engine response, improved start/stop performance, and noise and vibration enhancements.
