Volvo now offers Prime Video in models with Google built-in

MANILA: Prime Video is now available in Volvo cars with Google built-in.

This service was rolled out last September 18 through an over-the-air (OTA) update. This makes Volvo Cars one the first car manufacturers to offer Prime Video in its vehicles.

YouTube will also soon be available in Volvo cars with Google built-in. It will come pre-installed as part of an OTA update.

“Adding access to services such as Prime Video and YouTube in our cars bolsters the continuously growing list of software and applications to make lives for our drivers better. We are delivering on our promise of building cars that grow with our customers over time,” Volvo Cars New Car Programs Global Head Erik Severinson.

Volvo clarified that video streaming will only be accessible when the vehicle is stationary to ensure safety.

Prime Video and YouTube will be available globally except in China, South Korea, and Vietnam.
