MANILA: Hyundai’s newly released brand video features Boston Dynamic’s quadruped robot Spot at BTS’s “Yet To Come” concert in Busan, South Korea. The video aims to promote the Korean carmaker’s future mobility technologies.

Hyundai Motor Group is the first Korean company to form a task force to support Busan’s bid for World Expo 2030. In the video, seven Spots, together with humanoid robot Atlas, dance to BTS songs. The video also shows ARMY Spot’s experience in the concert accompanied by service robot “Dal-E” and small mobility platform “MobED.”
ARMY Spot also appeared at the concert, escorting the K-pop idols to the main stage.
The video was also simulcast on Weverse, reaching audiences who were not able to attend the concert live in Busan.
Hyundai Motor’s booth at the concert also featured the “Goal of the Century” campaign, which was launched in April for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The t-shirts worn by BTS members as part of Team Century, a group of ambassadors who promote global sustainability, were displayed in the booth.
Eco bags motivated by MobED and BTS were given to visitors who registered as supporters of the Goal of the Century campaign, promoting eco-friendly activities and carbon neutrality.
Hyundai Motorstudio Busan has been organizing an exhibit in line with the Goal of the Century campaign since October 6. It also actively supports Busan’s bid to host World Expo 2030.
“Hyundai Motor and BTS have collaborated since 2018 and our latest effort aims to draw domestic and foreign support for hosting World Expo 2030 in Busan. We will continue to communicate with customers around the world about Hyundai’s future mobility vision and enhance Korea’s international status so that the World Expo 2030 can be held in Busan,” Hyundai Motor Company Global Chief Marketing Officer and Customer Experience Division Head Thomas Schemera stated.
