2023 Honda Trail Ride roughs it out in Isabela

 After a run of successes the previous year and in keeping with the directive to strengthen off-road operations, Honda Philippines Inc. (HPI) held the third leg of the Honda Trail Ride in Cauayan, Isabela. The newest Honda Flagship Shop in the neighborhood opened its doors this March, just in time for HPI's Trail Ride.

The participating riders navigated and conquered largely unpaved routes while riding their own motorcycles, including their CRF series and XR motorcycles, on uphill, downhill, and river crossing courses. Participants who had experience riding off-road motorcycles, hobbyists, and people who loved to go on adventures explored the area's well-known landmarks.

Leo Cachero, Motorcycle Planning Department Manager, said that the Honda Trail Ride is part of the Ride Red campaign that served as a great way for customers to enjoy their motorcycle rides, explore and enjoy outdoor activities.

Cauayan, Isabela

The City of Cauayan is perfect for adventurers as it boasts various ranges of mountain trails, ridges of rolling hills, pathways with trees, and flowing rivers making it a well-known destination for riders in the Cagayan Valley.

“Honda Trail Ride Activity is a fun and exciting experience of riding a Honda Off-Road Motorcycle would be an amazing experience to have, offering our customers an avenue for them to ride and enjoy is a great opportunity for them,” Cachero said. “We are encouraging other adventurous MC enthusiasts to experience the CRF models to have fun in owning a Honda motorcycle,” he added.

Honda CRF models

The CRF family is Honda’s champion bike in off-road races, including the prestigious MXGP, AMA Supercross and Motocross. The line delivers reliability, power, durability and fuel efficiency. These qualities transcend to the CRF models of HPI.

This year, the CRF reached another milestone as it celebrates its 50th anniversary, which is considered the model that had paved the way in the field of off-road riding and motorsports.

With its CRF250R-inspired look and color options in Extreme Red, Black, and New Ross White, it is even more imposing and aggressive.

The Honda CRF150L is appropriate for the Filipino market thanks to its strong 149cc four-stroke, two-valve, air-cooled engine, modern features like a digital meter panel, Showa brand Inverted Front Fork and Pro-Link Rear Suspension, and a reduced Seat Height (863 mm).

With a fuel efficiency of up to 45.5kpl, the Honda CRF150L ensures that you will travel further than on your everyday commute. The suggested retail price (SRP) for this motorcycle is P139,900.

The CRF450L and the brand-new Honda CRF300L have similar designs. This version also boasts a new, slim headlamp for enhanced visibility on the road, an upside-down gold shock absorber for safer riding, a pro-link rear suspension for good balance when navigating, and other improvements.

A new 286cc, four-stroke, Euro-5 compliant engine is included in the CRF300L for better power and performance. It produces 19.6kW at 8,250 rpm and 26.1Nm at 6,500 rpm while consuming 29.5 kpl more fuel for a longer and more efficient ride. The engine also includes an assist/slipper clutch to facilitate effortless gear changes and prevent wheel locking.

The Honda CRF300L is outfitted with a Digital Meter and a gear position indicator to aid riders in having accurate gear information and controlled riding on the road. The bike is also designed with a stronger, lighter, and sharper appearance, appealing to daring riders who see an endless number of motorcycle riding possibilities.

Since the weight of the Honda CRF300L was reduced by six kilograms, riders may now enjoy greater comfort and improved maneuverability. It has a suggested retail price of P267,900 and comes in the premium color option of Extreme Red.
