Honda Winner X Review 2025
Abhishek Katariya says
Introduced in the Philippines two-wheeler market as a replacement model for the Honda Supra GTR 150 in February 2024, the Winner X is the most powerful and flagship underbone motorcycle model from Honda in the Asian country. Originally debuted in 2016, the Honda Winner X is also known as RS150R in the Malaysian two-wheeler market.
In the Philippines, the Honda Winner X is available in three variants – Standard (PHP 123,900), ABS Premium (PHP 129,900) and ABS Racing (PHP 131,900). While the Standard variant is available in Infinity Red and Pearl Iceberg White colours, the ABS Premium can be had in two colours namely Matte Galaxy Black Metallic and Matte Meteoric Red Metallic. The range-topping ABS Racing is available only in the Infinity Red tricolour paint scheme.
Honda Winner X Design
For an underbone motorcycle, the Honda Winner X looks extremely edgy and has a sporty vibe in its design, which only looks bolder and more youthful in the mid and higher-spec variants which have more vibrant colours.
The busy-looking compact and aggressive-looking apron has pointy upper edges and a dual LED headlamp setup on its lower edges. The handlebar has a triangular tinted cowl in the middle, while also having silver-finished levers for an added sporty look.
The aggressive-looking side panels of the Honda Winner X have integrated clear lens LED turn indicators and small vents within them while having a pointy engine cowl integrated at the bottom. The engine, exhaust pipe, and alloy wheels have a blacked-out theme as standard, save for the ABS Racing variant which has golden-coloured alloy wheels. The Honda Winner X also gets silver alloy clamps for the rider and pillion footrests.
The slanted tail section of the Honda Winner X has a crown-shaped LED tail lamp with LED turn indicators at the back, with its upper part having split pillion grab rails mounted on the sides of the pillion perch. With a long and well-padded single seat, the Winner X has a compact hexagonal-shaped coloured LCD instrument console, which features a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge, and gear indicators.
The hexagonal instrument console of the Honda Winner X has a series of warning lights positioned below it, with this underbone motorcycle also having a nifty USB charging port. As expected, the overall quality and fit and finish levels feel up to the mark in the Honda Winner X.
Winner X Ride & Handling
With a telescopic fork at the front and a rectangular swing-arm with mono-shock at the rear, the Honda Winner X rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, with 90/80-17 front and 120/70-17 rear tubeless tyres. While the Honda Winner X feels agile to ride, we would have loved to see wider tyres for even better grip while high-speed straight-line riding. All three variants of the Honda Winner X come with disc brakes at either end.
Honda Winner X Engine & Fuel Consumption
Powering the Honda Winner X is a tried-and-tested four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 149cc engine, which is also shared by a few other 150cc Honda scooters and bikes in its global lineup. Paired with a 6-speed transmission, this engine churns out a maximum power output of 15.4 bhp and a torque output of 13.5 Nm. With excellent refinement levels, this engine claims 52.3 kmpl fuel efficiency in the Honda Winner X.
Winner X Braking & Safety
Being a premium 150cc offering, Honda has equipped the Winner X with the best in safety for a two-wheeler of its class. Besides having ABS in its mid and higher spec variants, the Honda Winner X also has a smart remote keyless operation with anti-theft alarm and answer-back features.
An assist and slipper clutch is also a surprise addition to this flagship underbone motorcycle from Honda. In addition, the Winner X also gets a bank angle sensor, which automatically shuts off the engine after it detects a leaning angle beyond 70 degrees.
Honda Winner X Verdict
With its edgy styling, energetic performance, agile handling, and premium features, the Honda Winner X feels very modern and lively for an underbone motorcycle, a category that is generally perceived to be utility and cost-driven.
