Check out the Aprilia RS 457’s 3 athletic hues

The recently launched Aprilia RS 457 is one of the most potent middleweight sport bike options in the Philippine market right now. 

For its engine, it uses a 457-cc liquid-cooled two-cylinder mill capable of producing up to 47.6 horsepower and 43.5 Newton-meters of torque. The motorcycle also has a total of six gears, which are manipulated by a multiple wet-type clutch with a slipper system. 

Handling and agility for the Italian motorcycles are provided by a rear monoshock suspension and an inverted fork for the front. The aforementioned features 120-millimeters of travel, while the rear shock has 130-mm of travel. Both also get adjustable preloads. 

Stopping power for the RS 457, meanwhile, is handed by front and rear disc brakes and calipers from ByBre (Bremo). 

Other notable features of the bike include a 13-liter fuel tank, LED front and rear lighting fixtures, a 5-inch digital instrument panel, backlit handlebar controls, dual-channel anti-lock braking, a traction control system, and metal braided brake hoses, among others. 

In the Philippines, the Aprilia RS 457 is priced at P348,000. 

While its specs sound impressive, prospective buyers might be curious about the Aprilia motorcycle’s exterior color options. So, without further ado, here are the RS 457’s three hues. 

Prismatic Dark

The Prismatic Dark exterior color option is the most recognizable color of the RS 457. It is arguably the bike’s signature as it is the hue most commonly used for its promotional materials. 

Appearance-wise, Prismatic Dark provides the bike with a stealthy but also sinister look. Most of it is dark, with only the Aprilia and RS badging, the monoshock spring, and the wheels providing a contrast of color. 

To note, the frame of the bike is visible from the side, but it was given a toned-down aluminum-like finish. The engine, meanwhile, was coated with a heat-resistant grey paint. 

The “prismatic” element of the aforementioned color option is found on the tank and the largest side fairing pieces of the bank. It is able to change color depending on the light. 

Opalescent Light

As a counterpoint to the mostly dark Prismatic Black, the RS 457 is likewise available in Opalescent Light. 

Per its name, it gives the motorcycle model’s fairings and fuel tank splashes of bright white color. Thanks to the “panda-style” color scheme, the ride becomes more visible, though some sharp angular designs may become hidden if viewed from certain angles. 

Like the darker color option, Opalescent Light retains the red badging, wheels, and rear monoshock spring. Its front fork, handlebars, seat, LED headlamp surrounds, and side mirrors also get a black color. 

Racing Stripes

The third color choice for the RS 457 is called “Racing Stripes.” Per its name, this colorway gives the bike’s front fairings four red-colored diagonal stripes combined with a mostly black body. The said stripes visually line up with more stripes on the bike’s tank.

Interestingly, the said color scheme ditches the red wheels in favor of mostly black wheels, but the monoshock spring and badging all retain a red color. 

Overall, the result of the Racing Stripes color option is a sporty-looking motorcycle with a mean streak.
