The three models offered by Hero Motocorp are the Xoom 110, Hunk 160R 4V, Xpulse 200 4V.What is the price range of Hero Motocorp's products?
Hero Motocorp's motorcycles range from P69,900-P140,000.Its arrival in the country’s competitive motorcycle industry also marks the firm’s foray into the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region, adding significance to its recently held brand launch in Laguna.
On that note, we take a quick look at the three-motorcycle roster, which serves as Hero Motocorp’s initial offering in the Philippines.
XPulse 200 4V
The Hero XPulse 200 4V is the model with the largest displacement size of the three.
In betwixt the rider’s thigh is a 199.6 cubic centimeter (cc) engine mated to a five-speed constant mesh transmission. The said setup makes some 18.9 horsepower (hp) with 17.35 newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
Stopping power comes from petal disc brakes, front and back.
Hero Motocorp’s adventure bike runs on a diamond-type frame chassis with a 13-liter fuel tank and is supported by telescopic front forks (with anti-friction brush) at the front and a rectangular swingarm with a 10-step preload adjustable monoshock at the rear.
It uses a 21-inch wheel at the front shod in 90/90 series tires, while the rear gets an 18-inch wheel with chunkier 120/80 rubber.
Notable features include its LED headlamp as well as its full digital LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation.
Offered in Techno Blue, Black Sports Red, and Matte Nexus Blue colorways, the Hero XPulse 200 4V is priced at P140,000.
Hunk 160R 4V
The Hero Hunk 160R 4V is a middleweight naked bike touted as a motorcycle for those ready to live the “dragster life.”
At its core is a 163.2 cc engine paired with a five-speed constant mesh transmission, which dishes out some 16.6 hp with 14.6 Nm of pulling power.
Deceleration and halts are facilitated by petal-style disc brakes — pretty much like the aforementioned Hero XPulse 200 4V.
The Hero Hunk 160R 4V uses a tubular underbone diamond-type frame that holds a fuel tank with a 12-liter capacity. Suspension-wise, it packs a standard telescopic front fork (KYB-branded upside-down suspension for range-topping variant) and a seven-step adjustable monoshock at the back.
It rides on 17-inch wheels with 100/80 series tires at the front and 130/70 series tires at the rear.
Notably, it offers would-be owners appointments like an inverted LCD instrument panel, spit-type seats, all-LED lighting, and a sporty exhaust.
Sold in two variants (Standard and Pro) and can be had in either Blazing Sports Red and Matte Slate Black finishes, the Hero Hunk 160R 4V has a base price of P99,900.
Xoom 110
The smallest in the bunch and potentially Hero Motocorp’s possible sales driver, the Xoom 110 is a small displacement scooter with a big character.
It is propelled by a 110 cc mill accompanied by a Variomatic drive gearbox, which is essentially a continuously variable transmission. The said setup puts out 8.05 horses with 8.70 Nm.
The Hero Xoom 110 gets telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the fore with a unit swing with springloaded hydraulic dampers at the rear. A disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the hind is responsible for bringing the scooter to a halt.
It is slapped with a pair of 12-inch wheels with 90/90 series tires — front and back.
Noteworthy is its digital instrument gauge with Bluetooth connectivity, SMS alert, and caller ID.
Priced at P69,900, the Hero Xoom 110 can be had in Sports Red, Matte Abrax Orange, and Black (yes just black) colors.
