2019 Honda PCX 150 revealed

MANILA: Honda has finally released the updated version of the PCX 150 with significant upgrades and changes. The 2019 Honda PCX 150 has been specifically revealed for the US market for now, launch in other markets is still not cleared. The latest iteration of the PCX 150 features majority of the changes in its styling over the mechanicals.

Honda PCX150 Side

To start with, the scooter features a full LED headlights and a fully digital LCD instrument console. The new version is even lighter than the outgoing model by 2.8 kg kudos to the new cradle frame which has replaced the underbone tubular setup. It is powered by a 149cc unit that has the potential to deliver a maximum power output of 13.3 PS and peak torque of 14 Nm, which is quite modest in the respective segment.

Honda PCX150 Front

The suspension unit is unchanged which is a telescopic fork at the front and twin rear shock absorber at the rear. The 14-inch alloy wheels are accompanied by 100/80 front and 120/70 rear tyres. The braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both the ends with optional ABS for added safety. Considering the underseat storage, the 2019 PCX150 comes with 28-litre of space and a fuel tank capacity of 8-litre.

The pricing of 2019 Honda PCX 150 is priced between USD 3,600 to 3,999 (Php 1,19,2658 to Php 2,08,283 approximately). Considering the price range, the scooter is too expensive for the local market but, you never know what might turn out to be a hot-seller in a country of two-wheeler enthusiasts. However, there are no plans for its launch as of now, it would be interesting to see how a high-end scooter performs on the local roads.
