What are the pros or advantages of having Nmax 155?
Design
Just imagine riding a scooter with a dynamic and sporty body design on your daily rides, cool right? Apparently, the Nmax’s design was strongly influenced by Sport Scooters. Yamaha’s genius move on fusing the sporty outlook with their boomerang size motifs and central tunnel underline trademark for the MAX series is truly remarkable.
Engine, fuel efficiency, and earth-friendly
The Euro 4 standards-compliant liquid-cooled 155cc engine was developed through Yamaha’s advanced Blue Core technology. This is like hitting three birds with one stone, aside from the power that it puts out, the engine of Nmax increases combustion and cooling efficiency leading to lesser emissions while. Simultaneously, it helps on reducing power losses in order to give you quicker acceleration with a higher top speed, and most importantly, lesser fuel consumption.
Yamaha has truly stepped up their game, the NMax doesn’t just provide you with powerful rides but can also help you reduce fuel costs at the same time, help on lowering the toxic gas emissions in the country.
What is EURO 4?
Ans. It is the globally accepted European emission standard that requires vehicles on using fuel with lower sulfur (0.005 percent, or 50ppm) and benzene (maximum of 1 percent by volume) contents. These two are the major toxic gasses that are usually emitted by vehicles that can be harmful to both nature and living things. This was fully enacted in the Philippine in June 2016.
Another key feature of the Nmax that enhances its fuel efficiency and riding performance is the VVA or Variable Valve Actuation system it includes. This can provide strong torque at low speeds and higher power at high speed - giving you the superb driving experience while keeping a good fuel economy.
LED lights and LCD instruments
Channeling its sporty character well, the Yamaha Nmax is equipped with stylish and superb triple lamp LED headlights and LED taillights. The twin-eye LED headlight is designed for the low beams while the central light is for the high beam mode. The Full LCD mono eye meter panel that includes the bar-type fuel gauge, speedometer, a clock, and the fuel economy data.
Wide diameter disk brake with ABS
The 230mm wide disk brakes are also employed in the NMax 155. This is applicable for both front and rear discs. Furthermore, the higher trim is equipped with Anti-lock Braking System which is an additional safety feature that is usually not present in other motorcycles. This can help you in having a more controllable braking power and better confidence in varying road conditions.
Lightweight chassis and tyres
Present in the NMax’s chassis are the twin shock rear suspension system and smooth-action telescopic front forks that ensures a comfortable travel time for you and your passenger. Meanwhile, the 13-inch wheels with the sporty styling has a measurement of 110/70-13 for the front and 130/70-17 for the rear which can deliver good road holding.
What are the cons or disadvantages of having Nmax 155?
Quite outdated for a maxi-scooter
Since it channels the sporty aura, it somehow lacks the modernity in terms of styling and design compared to its competitors in the maxi-scooter segment. Some few good touch-ups on the overall design can be a good addition to the next years’ editions.
LCD display
Although it's great that this scooter has an LCD for the instrument console, Yamaha could have made it better in terms of readability. The small-sized fonts within the small size display can make it a little bit hard to look at while on the go.
So, there you go! It is pretty obvious that we’ve got so much good to say about the NMax and fewer cons to describe. Hence, this Yamaha scooter from the Max series can really be a powerful and superb choice for someone who loves to ride with style and utmost performance. Planning to get yourself a Yamaha NMax 155?
