MANILA: Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) will be offering a free test ride of its Honda Big Bike Adventure series at the Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC) in Parañaque City.

In a statement, HPI Motorcycle Planning Department Manager Hervic Villa said, “At Honda, we know that not experiencing to ride a motorbike can sometimes become a deal-breaker, particularly when it comes to big bikes. These motorbikes are like beasts that really get everyone’s attention because of their stance. However, for big-bike riders, we know that it is more than just its stance that they are looking for and that is why we want our customers to experience riding our Honda big bikes so it will be easier for them to decide which one is right for them.”

The free test ride aims not only to introduce and present all the details of the Honda Big Bike Adventure series, but also to provide customers with an exclusive first-hand experience riding them. Customers will also be given an opportunity to have a one-on-one session with an HSDC instructor.

The free test ride program includes two of the most remarkable Honda big bikes, the all-new X-ADV and the new Africa Twin.

The all new X-ADV is positioned to be a perfect ride for urban and off-road trips. It embodies the essence of modern adventure as it combines the balance and stability of a scooter with the durability and resilience of an off-road motorcycle.

The X-ADV is powered by a 745cc twin-cylinder engine mated to a dual clutch transmission (DCT). It is built with a robust tubular-steel chassis. The motorcycle is equipped with a five-inch thin film transistor (TFT) full-LCD digital meter panel that features the Honda Smartphone Voice Control System (HSVCS). This innovative system connects the rider to their smartphone while on the road and allows voice management of weather, navigation, phone calls, messages, and music.

On the other hand, the Africa Twin is powered by an all-new 1,084cc four-stroke parallel-twin engine mated to a six-speed transmission.

To avail of the free test ride, customers must register through a link that will be posted on the official Facebook page of Honda Philippines this August. From there, the customers will be asked to fill out the forms with the necessary information and select the exact date when they want to do the rest ride. Registrants shall receive a confirmation message on September, while the test ride activities for Honda Big Bike will begin on October.

All participants must comply with HSDC requirements, observing the health and safety protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF). They will be required to present a medical certificate or a PCR negative result for COVID-19. Only eight participants will be scheduled per day to guarantee that everyone can practice social distancing and proper sanitation.

“We are excited to welcome customers to the HSDC for these test rides. We hope that through this initiative, we can help them experience even more the joy of mobility and the exciting thrill of riding our big bikes,” Villa added.
