Honda Forza Scooter revealed for the ASEAN market

MANILA: Honda finally introduced a new scooter for its ASEAN market lineup at the BIMS 2018. Yes, Honda Forza has been finally revealed with Thailand being the first country to receive it.

The Honda Forza comes with modern lines which infuses a sharp appearance. The scooter is equipped with foldable, body-mounted mirrors with turn signals. At the lower front façade, full-LED headlights and taillights are present.

To make the scooter powerful, a 279cc liquid-cooled, fuel injected, SOHC four-valve engines paired with a V-Matic transmission are placed. This helps in boasting a quick reaction at low speeds as well as a final drive for a higher top speed.

This Honda scooter comes with a smart Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC)- a traction control system. This system helps in detecting a difference between the front and the rear wheel speeds. It also calculates the slip ratio and then controls engine’s torque via the fuel injection to regain rear wheel traction.

The Forza features a Smart Key to control the main ignition switch knob and compartment locking. This scooter can comfortably seat two passengers. It can also store two full-face helmets under the seat. The front left inner fairing pocket is lockable and can be used to hold a phone and a water bottle. A 12V charging socket is also housed there.

In this Honda scooter, 33mm telescopic forks and twin rear shock absorbers are present. The scooter rides on 14-inch wheels on 120 and 140mm tires in the front and rear respectively.

This bike weighs 182 kg and an 11.5-litre tank. It has a potential 370+ Km range. The top speed of the bike is claimed to be 129 kmph and an average fuel consumption of 31 kmpl.

The Honda Forza is currently available in Thailand in four colors. Its direct competitors are said to be the Yamaha Xmax and Kymco Xtown. We are not sure if Honda Philippines will bring the Forza in the local market.
