MANILA: Honda Philippines Incorporated has expressed confidence in its rider Alfonsi Daquigan, who competes in the 2024 season of the Asia Talent Cup. 

According to the Japanese motorcycle company, Daquigan is an “exceptionally skilled young rider at the age of 14,” and “is one of 20 riders fortunate to be selected for this year’s competition, and the only Filipino on the grid riding the Honda NSF250R with Number 22.” 

Daquigan had an exciting showing at the pre-season testing in Lusail International Circuit in Qatar, providing Honda Philippines Incorporated the confidence that the Filipino motorcycle racer will perform well this year. 

He is “definitely one to watch out for this season,” HPI noted. 

Daquigan found himself in 10th place in the overall Asia Talent Cup standings after the first round of the season last weekend with six points. Below is the roster of racers with their corresponding points:

Daquigan’s racing resume includes wins in the National Motorcycle Racing Championship (MoRAC) Super Sport 155 Class. He was discovered through the National Motorcycle Racing Championship (MoRAC) Super Sport 155 Class program.
