Honda PH launches three new Big Bike models at 2023 Makina Moto Show
MANILA: Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) unveiled big surprises at the 2023 Makina Moto Show which happened on April 14to16 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Honda XL750 Transalp
The all-new Honda XL750 Transalp was introduced for HPI Adventure fans. The Honda XL750 Transalp sports a class-leading steel diamond body frame and a signature functional windscreen. The Honda XL750 Transalp was created with simplicity, elegance, and toughness in mind. The Honda XL750 Transalp is powered by a 755cc displacement, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, OHC, eight-valve Parallel-Twin engine with 270° Crank and Unicam.
The all-new Honda XL750 Transalp comes in two colors: Ross White and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic.
Honda CL500
The all-new Honda CL500 was introduced under the Tourer category. The Honda CL500, with its eye-catching street scrambler design, features a rounded 12-liter fuel tank with a tubular diamond-structure steel frame, as well as a scrambler seat design. The Honda CL500 exudes a macho look and is powered by a 471cc displacement, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-stroke, four-valve, two-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
The all-new Honda CL500 is available in two colors: Matte Laurel Green Metallic and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.
Honda Rebel1100
The all-new Honda Rebel1100 was another surprise new model from HPI. The Honda Rebel1100 is a certified Tourer motorcycle with a contemporary custom look and riding comfort that emanates sophistication, confidence, and ruggedness. The Honda Rebel1100 is powered by a 1,083cc displacement, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, SOHC, five-valve, twin engine with a 270° crank and Unicam.
The all-new Honda Rebel1100 comes in two colors: Gun Metal Black Metallic and Iridium Gray Metallic.
These three new Big Bike models are now available in all Honda Flagship Shops nationwide.
Aside from the new Big Bike models, HPI also showcased its existing on-road and off-road motorcycles at the 2023 Makina Moto Show.
Super Sports Series
One of the motorcycles displayed was the Honda CBR300R, which is dubbed as the “lightweight champion.” The Honda CBR300R is a race bike machine that offers the ultimate sport bike experience in a size that makes it even more enjoyable to ride. With a 286cc displacement, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine, riders will have no trouble navigating congested cities and winding roads.
Another Super Sports model featured was the Honda CBR500R, a middleweight sports bike-style motorcycle with a 471cc displacement, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC, Parallel Twin engine.
The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP was also present at this year's Makina Moto Show. The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP epitomizes the brand's illustrious MotoGP racing heritage. The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is powered by a ferocious 1,000cc displacement, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC, inline four-cylinder engine.
The racing performance of the Honda CBR1000RR-R FireBlade SP is demonstrated by its participation in Asia Road Racing Championship last year and victory in the ASB1000 through the Honda Asia Dream Racing with Showa and second-place finish through HARC-Pro HondaPH. Through its partnership with HARC-PRO, HPI is now able to deliver stronger performances on both domestic and international racing.
Off-Road Series
The Honda CRF1100 Africa Twin, one of the HPI Off-Road motorcycles displayed at the 2023 Makina Moto Show, elevates the excitement of any off-road adventure. This legendary dual-sport endurance bike makes a stunning comeback after a history of dominating rally competitions. The Honda CRF1100 Africa Twin is powered by a 1,083cc displacement, Parallel-Twin engine with 270° Crank and Uni-Cam. The Honda CRF1100 Africa Twin comes with Honda's automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) and electronically controlled suspension.
The all-new Honda CRF450R, an off-road motorcycle that is a direct descendant of the iconic Honda CR250M Elsinore, which revolutionized motocross. The Honda CRF450R upholds the illustrious history with a contemporary design and a 450cc liquid-cooled Unicam single-cylinder engine that is ideal for today's tracks. The Honda CFR450R is a marvel of engineering efficiency and performance. After winning the MXGP World Championship with the 2019 bike, Honda completely redesigned the entire machine.
