Honda unveils 2024 European moto lineup at EICMA
MANILA: Honda introduced its full 2024 European lineup at the International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition (EICMA) in Milan, Italy.

Among the upgraded models are the CBR600RR, CB650R, CBR650R, CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and its SP version, CRF1100L Africa Twin, and CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports.Four new model names, upgrades to four existing models, and an all-electric scooter concept were presented by Honda at the event.
The lineup was headlined by the CB100 Hornet, the new flagship naked powered by an upgraded version of the inline four-cylinder engine from the 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade. The new powertrain churns out up to 147 horsepower (hp) and 100 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. The bike’s aggressive look is highlighted by the super-compact dual LED projector headlights and the Hornet-signature fuel tank.
Also joining the lineup is the CB500 Hornet, which boasts aerodynamic performance worthy of the venerable Hornet name. It features an edgy styling influenced by its two bigger siblings. Power comes from a 471-cubic-capacity engine that produces 46 hp and 43 Nm of torque.
The acclaimed CBR600RR also makes its comeback in Honda’s European lineup for 2024 to breathe new life into the middleweight super sports category. The new CBR600R has advanced aerodynamics and electronics inspired by MotoGP. Its engine has been significantly enhanced from its previous iteration to deliver up to 119 hp and 63 Nm of torque.
Another nameplate that returns to the lineup is the NX in the form of the new NX500, which is made to be ridden on long-distance adventures on a variety of terrain. Building on the success of the outgoing CB500X, the NX500 sports a fresh styling along with several performance and specification upgrades.
Honda also showcased the 2024 model of the CBR500R, which features an updated Fireblade-inspired look with new headlight and taillight and a redesigned bodywork with winglets. The motorcycle’s “baby Blade” appearance is enhanced by new graphics and colors, while low rpm acceleration is achieved by revised injection settings.
The new CB650R and CBR650R were also introduced, featuring the cutting-edge Honda E-Clutch technology, the first-ever fully automatic clutch for a multi-geared motorcycle. The CB650R comes with new slanted LED headlight, radiator shrouds, and tail light.
Meanwhile, the new CBR650R has redesigned dual LED headlights and tail unit.
Also getting upgrades for the 2024 model year are the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and its SP version. Their engines now deliver up to 214 hp and 113 Nm of torque. The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP also comes with the new, third-generation Ohlins Smart Electronic 43mm S-EC3.0 NPX USD forks.
The 2024 CRF1100L Africa Twin and its Adventure Sports variant were also unveiled at the event. These two models gained a seven-percent boost in maximum torque due to modifications to compression ratio, valve timing, intake ports, and engine control unit settings. The CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports also gets a new 19-inch front wheel, wider front tire and front fairing, a larger screen, and a more thickly padded seat.
Honda also displayed the SC e: Concept, which will be the basis of its second electric two-wheeler in the European market.
The SC e: Concept has a long, wide seat, a large flat floor, and ultra-modern design lines. It comes with two swappable Honda Mobile Power Pack e:batteries for an extended riding range.
Honda will be launching the production version of the SC e: Concept in Europe by 2025.
