Is it the 2020 Honda Scoopy arriving alongside the ADV 150?

MANILA: We all are already aware of the fact that Honda Philippines is all set to bring the ADV-150 to the Philippines, aren't we? However, in a recently released video on its official Facebook page, Honda Philippines has teased another two-wheeler that will come alongside the ADV 150. With the launch set to take place at Robinson's Metro East on Saturday, i.e., tomorrow on 22nd of September 2019, rumours say that the other offering could very well be the 2020 Honda Scoopy.

Unlike the Honda ADV 150, the Scoopy is seen in the video with a bit more curves and creases than the ADV 150. Also, we can see a brand ambassador of the scooter with her face hidden in the dark environment in the video. While the scooter will be called "Scoopy" in the Philippines (if launched), the two-wheeler goes by the name "Genio 110cc" in Indonesia. "The Genio is a casual, fashionable scooter which becomes the new identity and trend for young generation in Indonesia in achieving a more stylish and energetic expression, while giving no compromise on performance, a compact body, agility and riding comfort, as well as fuel efficiency", said Astra Honda Motor Indonesia about the Genio 110/Scoopy.

On the mechanical front, the 2020 Honda Scoopy houses a 110cc engine inside of it. The powerhouse is equipped with enhanced Smart Power (eSP) tech and generates 9 PS of maximum power along with a peak torque of 9.3 Nm. Furthermore, the scooter is also bolstered by Honda's enhanced Smart Architecture Frame (eSAF). Being a modern-day scooter from 2019, the Honda Scoopy flaunts several advanced features like an LED headlamp, combi-brake system, idling stop system (ISS), digital instrument cluster, and a power outlet under the seat.

Don't ask for the price as we do not have any information on that. Moreover, the Philippine-spec 2020 Honda Scoopy may even boast some minor aesthetic and functional changes compared to the Indonesian model, the Genio 110.
