While the Ford Explorer scores high in many areas, the ride dynamics are not that good leading to a nuanced experience. It is equipped with 21-inch tires that offer traction and stability but also contribute to a slightly rougher and noisier ride than expected. With less than 5500 miles driven, I can confidently say that the gas mileage is much better than expected, averaging around 26 to 27 miles per gallon in a mix of highway and city driving. The vehicle’s fit and finish are also commendable and the electronics function flawlessly. It is a solid off-roader that can conquer all kinds of terrains easily.
