It's a reliable and smooth car. I have 3,km from new. But vs the Hyundai range (I also have a late Tuscon) you are trading away electronics for this mechanical smoothness and reliability. The Hyundai blue link remote capabilities are way superior and the cruise control on the Toyota is clunky and over reactive to collision potential. The cabin is not particularly well soundproofed albeit you need your wits about you on Manila's toads... My feeling is Toyota YarisX will not let you down, but I find it a bit boring.
