Check out the Hyundai Ioniq 5's charming colors

The Ioniq 5 is the premier electric vehicle (EV) offering of Hyundai Motor Philippines. It comes in the form of a hyper-modern crossover equipped with plenty of onboard features, safety technologies, and a peppy all-electric powertrain. 

With the aforementioned qualities, many looking to dive into the world of all-electric rides may be looking to adopt the Hyundai-made model. 

The Philippine-spec Ioniq 5, however, comes in four different exterior paint options. So, what are the said colors, and how do they affect the appearance of the EV model? Let’s find out here. 

Atlas White

The brightest color available for the Ioniq 5 is Atlas White. 

In relation to the other bits of the car, it makes the silver-colored trim pieces on its wheel arches, side sills, and bumpers stand out more. The light hue likewise serves to highlight the attractive character lines positioned on the side of the EV. Additionally, white can serve to make the vehicle more visible to other drivers in hazy or dark driving situations. 

On the flip side, white can be hard to maintain. In many cases, it can make paint imperfections and dirt more visible. 

Phantom Black Pearl

On the polar opposite of Atlas White is Phantom Black Pearl. It is the stealthiest color option for the car, providing it a slick and elegant look. 

Similar to white, however, it does a good job of highlighting the Ioniq 5’s contrast-colored exterior pieces. Do remember, though, that, like white, black can be hard to maintain and keep clean. 

Moreover, some may argue that black colors can make vehicles less visible in fog, rain, or at night. Be assured, however, that the Ioniq 5’s LED headlamps, daytime running lamps, and taillights are sufficiently bright enough to make it easy to spot on the road in any driving condition. 

Cyber Gray Metallic

For the most neutral color option of the Ioniq 5, there’s Cyber Gray Metallic. 

With the kind of gray shade it utilizes, the said color mostly hides the silver-colored exterior fitments of the car. As a result, it isn’t as visually loud as the other pain options, but it serves to highlight the appealing silhouette of the all-electric crossover. 

While it may look pretty, do remember that gray is one of the more popular car color options in the country. As such, there is a good chance the color will help the Ioniq 5 blend with other cars in traffic. 

Gravity Gold Matte

Contrary to its name, Gravity Gold Matte isn’t too ostentatious or loud. Instead, it provides the ride with a very subtle shade of bronze. In certain light conditions, it will look closer to silver. But once sunlight (or another car’s LED lamp) hits it just right, it will show off the more “golden” side of the hue. 

Notably, the said color is also matte. As a result, it won’t reflect its surroundings as much as the other options, but it instills a more distinctive and eye-catching look for the Hyundai EV.
