Here are the MG G50 Plus' 5 color options

MG Philippines received a competitor in the three-row multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) segment when it bought the G50 Plus. Along with its three different variants: the Standard (STD), the Comfort (COM), and the top-spec Luxury (Lux), the latest vehicle offering gets an array of color options. 

The MG model's hue options include Moon White, Meteorite Black, Blade Silver, Andes Grey, and Water Blue. So, to aid would-be adopters in taking a pick, let’s take a quick drive into the said colors and how they might impact the look of the MG G50 Plus.

Meteorite Black

One of the more striking exterior hues in the G50 Plus lineup is Meteorite Black. Arguably, the latter can be considered the model's signature color as it thoroughly highlights the MPV’s decorative trim bits and other minute details on its body. 

For starters, the large chrome-lined grille simply catches the eye when applied in a dark color. The same goes for the MPV’s LED headlamp cluster, chrome window line frame, silvered-colored 17—or 16-inch wheels, and roof rails. 

Furthermore, the dark shade of black on the MG turns the ride into a mobile, light-bending spectacle. Even when parked, Meteorite Black is great at reflecting the world around it, making the vehicle more eye-catching. 

Overall, the Meteorite Black option elevates the G50 Plus's sophistication. However, the black color makes the MG MPV more understated and maybe even stealthy in low-light conditions. 

Moon White

The polar opposite of Meteorite Black is obviously Moon White, but the two colors do have some similarities in that they both emphasize the chrome pieces fitted on the model. 

With a white exterior, the MG in question gets a clean appearance that will also make its darker bits stand out. The vehicle’s black plastic claddings, window pillars, and black-colored inserts on the grille are more visible with this color. 

For some onlookers, Moon White can likewise emphasize the vehicle's character lines found on its ample side profile and hood. 

Obviously, the G50 Plus's white color option is non-stealthy, making the ride more visible. For some, more visibility equals more safety on the road. 

Speaking of safety, the G50 Plus gets plenty of kit. It features dual front airbags, side airbags (Lux), stability control, anti-lock braking, hill-start assist (Com, Lux), ISOFIX child seat anchors, tire pressure monitoring, a reverse camera, and a rear parking sensor.

Blade Silver

Another understated color option for the MG G50 Plus is Blade Silver. It is on the light side of the spectrum, so it may be able to accomplish the same visual feel as Moon White. 

The silver color also matches the vehicle’s roof rails and wheels. The latter may contrast the other parts of the vehicle, again making the chrome bits and the vehicle’s body shape stand out. 

Silver is likewise the color buyers would like to choose if they want to go incognito on the road. It is a popular color in the Philippine market, and so it may prove to be the kind of tinge that won’t catch the attention of onlookers unless they take a closer glance.

Andes Grey

 The color may likewise appeal to those with a heart for adventure. With a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine making 178 horsepower and 285 Newton meters of torque, the G50 Plus will certainly fit the bill as a road trip chariot.
