Interior inspection: What’s inside the Kia EV6?

The Kia EV6 is the flagship electric vehicle (EV) of the brand here in the Philippines. Its arrival signaled the local arm of the South Korean car brand’s entry into the country’s budding EV segment as well as its strong potential to become one of the leaders in the up-and-coming category.

On that note, we dive in to see what’s inside the Kia EV6.

Seamless screens

One of the most noticeable features offered by the Kia EV6’s cabin is its seamless screens, which blend the instrument panel and the infotainment system into a single screen.

Both the instrument cluster and the infotainment screen measure 12.3 inches, amounting to a combined screen real estate of 24.6 inches.

The instrument cluster shows relevant driving data like battery life and available range while the infotainment system comes with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto Connectivity. Audio from the infotainment unit is sent to a 14-speaker Meridian surround sound system.

Premium leather appointments

The cabin of the Kia EV6 is also lined with premium leather appointments, most of which can be found on the car’s seats (black suede with white leather accent), steering wheel, and door trims.

Its leather appliques not only give the car a premium look but also create a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere for its passengers.

Plenty of ports

The Kia EV6 also features plenty of ports that will help its owners recharge their devices. At the front row is a single connectivity port and two charging ports. On the other hand, those sitting at the back get two charging port areas.

In addition, the front center console of the Kia EV6 gets a wireless charging dock to ensure mobile phone charging without the hassle of plugging the cord of one’s mobile device in and out.

Safety and security

The Kia EV6 also sports standard safety and security amenities inside its cabin. Features such as front, side, and curtain airbags; ISOFIX tethers; and a 360-degree view monitor can help create a sense of security for the occupants of the Kia EV6.

Variant and pricing

The Kia EV6 is offered in a single variant (GT Line Long Range) and is priced at P3.788 million.
