To ensure safe and confident driving, the Staria comes standard with Hyundai Smartsense, which includes advanced driver assistance technologies such as forward-collision avoidance, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, blind-spot view monitor, smart cruise control, manual speed limit assist, parking distance warning, surround view monitor, and rear occupant alert.

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the Carnival, you may consider the Staria as it is priced at only P1.56 million-P3.03 million.

Toyota Super Grandia Elite

The Toyota Super Grandia Elite is a premium van that is ideal for big families or anyone who likes to travel in comfort and style.

When it comes to space, Toyota's 10-seater van does not disappoint. With ample legroom and headroom, even the tallest members of your family will feel comfortable. The versatile seating arrangements allow for easy customization, ensuring everyone has the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.

Powering the Super Grandia Elite is a 2.8-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. It produces 173 hp and 450 Nm of torque.

The van is also equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense suite of advanced driver assistance systems, which includes pre-collision system, lane departure alert, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beam.

With its premium features and luxurious interior, the Super Grandia Elite comes with a slightly higher price tag of P3.216 million, but for those who value comfort and style, it is worth every penny.

Toyota Alphard

Another Toyota that goes against the Carnival is its luxury van, the Alphard. Just like the Carnival, the Alphard can accommodate up to seven passengers.

The Alphard features a hybrid system consisting of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a motor generator, and an NI-MH battery. The powertrain delivers a total of 229 hp and 503 Nm of torque. Since the Alphard comes with a hybrid powertrain, it is an ideal choice for environmentally conscious car buyers.

Similar to the Super Grandia Elite, the Alphard also comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense with additional features like adaptive high beam system, lane tracing assist, and dynamic radar cruise control.

The Alphard is known for being a luxurious and premium van, which is reflected in its higher price point compared to the Kia Carnival. It retails for P4.98 million-P5 million.

Maxus G10

Another popular ride of choice for families or groups who need a spacious and comfortable vehicle is the Maxus G10, which can seat up to nine passengers.

Under the hood of the G10 is a 1.9-liter turbocharged CRDi engine that delivers 147 hp and 350 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Unlike the abovementioned models, the G10 comes standard with basic safety features only such as multiple airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, front and rear parking sensors, and reverse parking camera.

Since it is not as equipped as the Carnival and their other competitors, the G10 comes in a cheaper price range of P1.89 million-P2,289,800.
