Which Hyundai crossover do you prefer: Kona or Venue?

Sport utility vehicles have become popular globally owing to their expansive cabin, ample cargo space, off-road capability (in varying degrees, of course), comfort, and safety. SUVs come in various sizes such that there is an ideal model for any type of car buyer and most budgets.

If you're looking for a more affordable option, a smaller crossover would be suitable. These can accommodate up to five people in relative comfort.

Here, we look at two modern crossovers, namely, the Hyundai Venue and the Hyundai Kona

The Venue is today the smallest SUV in the Hyundai range. It has also been engineered with features that are focused on providing assistance to the driver.

In addition, its exterior shows off a sporty and edgy appearance that follows the newest version of the fluidic design concept of the Korean marque. A massive cascading grille with a checkered pattern and chrome garnish within it can be seen on the front profile of the Venue.

Meanwhile, the Hyundai Kona boasts of a distinct, minimalist design, with a hexagonal front grille and headlights that almost look like fog lamps. The uniqueness and strength of its design can be attributed to its contoured lines and curves that run over the entire body of the vehicle.

Hyundai Kona

Contributing to the rugged appeal and sportiness of the Kona is the lifted clearance and side cladding. The most essential design element on its side profile is the black garnishing on the C-pillar.

Going back to the Hyundai Venue, its interior gets an all-black finish, retaining freshness with a couple of contemporary design cues.

As for the Kona, it features multiple drive modes to provide greater control over its power, and these enable the driver to benefit from several vehicle drive characteristics.

How do these two compact contenders from Hyundai measure up against each other?
