With the Fortuner, these motorists experience Toyota's 'kaizen' commitment
Having sold more than 230,000 examples since the first generation in 2005, the Toyota Fortuner has been hailed as the best-selling SUV in the Philippines.
What could be the reason for the Fortuner's sales success? Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) said that because the Japanese carmaker is a firm believer in kaizen, a Japanese term for constant improvement, it aims to deliver the highest quality across its offerings such as the midsize SUV.
And judging by how Wilbye Manlutac and Crysler David are satisfied with their current-generation Fortuner SUVs, it seems that kaizen has stayed true to its promise.
Architect Wilbye Manlutac admires the reliability and trustworthiness of his SUV. “My family first owned a 2007 model of the Fortuner before switching to the 2018 model. The older model’s reliability and efficiency served as our main reason for getting the newer version," Manlutac shared.
“Having experienced two models of the Fortuner, I can say that Toyota does an amazing job designing cars that deliver on both function and form. Luxury and comfort are definitely something that the Fortuner offers at the perfect balance,” he added.
TMP boasted that the Fortuner is a perfect match for" brave business owners and visionary young professionals paving their way to a better future," and that it "safely guides its owners and passengers as they lead their everyday lives."
Under the Fortuner’s hood is a choice between 2.4 and 2.8-liter turbocharged diesel engines, which are "more than capable of bringing its owner through great distance and to great heights."
Just like its stablemates, the Fortuner also promises maximum safety with its combination of advanced passive and active safety features. Certain Fortuner variants come with Toyota Safety Sense, a summation of safety gadgets like Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Other safety additions available for select variants of the Fortuner are the Panoramic View Monitor (PVM), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
Meanwhile, Crysler David can attest to the Fortuner's flexibility and abilities as a companion for daily and long drives.
"Driving Lisha to exciting places like La Union and Pangasinan with my friends is always an adventure,” David said, referring to the name he's christened his SUV. Since 2019, Lisha has provided David with faultless kilometers of travel.
The Fortuner is road-trip ready with its spacious trunk, a stable and adventurous stance, and a powerful engine. Select variants also sport power features such as the Kick Sensor that with a swing of the foot beneath the rear bumper, sensors are prompted to electronically open the tailgate.
If you'd like to enjoy the Fortuner like these men did, the best deals for the Fortuner are available within the myToyota app or TMP's website (toyota.com.ph).
