2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer Ready to Set Philippine Shores on Fire By Year End
MANILA: Following the huge success of high selling sports utility masterpieces such as the new Montero Sport and Toyota Fortuner, US brand Chevrolet has finally taken the covers off its newest Trailblazer. After making an explosive debut in the Brazilian markets, the 2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer has also been given the green signal for the Philippine markets. According to the brand’s official distributors in the country, the Covenant Car Company Inc., the vehicle will make its official debut by the end of this year in the country. This is definitely a great news for the SUV fans in the Philippines who have been eager to see this badass baby in action.
This has been a really tough time for Chevrolet as well, as the exit of their parent brand General Motors from various asia pacific markets has had a major impact on their global sales. Coupled with the recent ban on the brand in Iran, this surely must’ve had a major impact on the American’s nearly 108 year old legacy in the automotive industry. To keep their hard earned iconicism from falling, the brand sure looks in a hurry to put at least one model in all the top selling vehicle segments in the country. This can be seen with the launch of the latest 2016 Sail in the B-segment sedan class, which is also one of the most competitive vehicular segment in the Philippines. With the 2017 Trailblazer, the Chevrolet brand will certainly add another tough contender to its fleet as Philippines is one of the major strongholds for the brand in Asia Pacific.
Coming to the new vehicle, the 2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer looks like a winner. Its buffed up exteriors should be able to fill the gap between the slick and suave Montero Sport and the monstrous 2016 Fortuner. Just like the aforementioned fortuner, the new Trailblazer also shares its platform with that of a pickup, giving it much larger dimensions than what one would expect from a mid-size SUV. The front features a bold new double-grille, with chrome that would put even Optimus Prime to shame. The added daytime-running headlights also add more versatility to the vehicle’s operation along with tonnes of advanced equipment that comes as standard. The highlight however remains the newly integrated touch-screen interface that has been marvellously set in the futuristic looking dash. As already mentioned, the vehicle is expected to make its Philippine entry later this year and will help secure Chevrolet Motors from its recent setbacks.
