2020 Audi Q7 45 TFSI Quattro, the new affordable German SUV
MANILA: Building on the success of its much popular and high-in-demand SUV, the Q7, and also considering the increasing demand in the SUV segment, Audi has inducted a brand-new entry model to the Q7 lineup in the form of 45 TFSI Quattro. Barring a smaller engine under its and a few missing features, the new 45 TFSI Quattro is as much a Q7 as the other models in the lineup and does justice to its nameplate without a fuss.
Starting with the exterior, the 2020 Audi Q7 45 TFSI Quattro flaunts a menacing appearance courtesy of a fresh large-size octagonal Singleframe grille with six chrome-finishes vertical slats. The majestic grille is then flanked by a pair of LED headlamps, which can also be upgraded with HD Matrix-design LED headlights. Then are the dynamic turn signals which further give SUV a premium and upmarket look. At the rear, we find the Q7 45 TFSI Quattro sporting a new pair of LED taillights that are conjoined by a chrome strip, new rear bumper, and revisited faux exhaust outlets.
The inside of the 2020 Audi Q7 45 TFSI Quattro takes cues from the SUV's elder sibling, the Q8. The list of features and creature comforts inside the SUV is long, and the notable peculiarities include three-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, new MMI touch response dual touchscreen display, various black trim pieces, Audi smartphone interface with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, Audi virtual cockpit driver assistance system, new top-view camera, wireless smartphone charger, adaptive cruise assist, LED interior lighting, illuminated door sill plates, surround-view camera system, 3D surround sound system, and much more. Audi is also offering an optional four-zone climate control system on the new Q7 45 TFSi Quattro.
Instead of the standard 3.0-litre TFSI motor churning out 335 hp and 440 Nm, the 2020 Audi Q7 45 TFSI Quattro houses a smaller 2.0-litre turbo fuel stratified injection (TFSI) motor that is capable of generating 248 hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 370 Nm. The transmission here is an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission that works in conjunction with the German automaker's much proclaimed Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
The 2020 Audi Q7 45 TFSI Quattro will be offered in two trim options, Premium and Premium Plus. As for the price, the Premium and the Premium Plus variants carry a price tag of USD 54,800 (Php 2.77 million) and USD 57,200 (Php 2.89 million), respectively.
