2020 Chevrolet Trailblazer is very likely to be a China exclusive

MANILA: Automobile manufacturers and SUVs is a love story that has developed leaps and bounds in recent times. Continuing the saga is the 2020 Chevrolet Trailblazer. China has become one of the largest automobile markets lately,

and in order to cash in on the opportunity, more and more brands are stacking their product lineups with newer and better SUVs in the country. Interestingly enough, the newly introduced Trailblazer in China is quite different than the model that we have seen in the ASEAN region.

The reason is that the 2020 Chevrolet Trailblazer for China is a crossover as opposed to the PPV we have in the ASEAN market. What does it mean for us? Well, bad news. This stylish looking 2020 Trailblazer in all possibility is not coming to our market, and we’ll for sure have to do with the body-on-frame vehicle offered by Chevrolet.

Talking about this new crossover though, the new Trailblazer looks appealing none the less and carries a design language that is inspired by the FNR-Carry All Concept SUV. The blacked-out grille is a two-tier setup and flanked by slim LEDs at the top with large headlamps underneath them.

Looking from the sides, the crossover is clothed with matte black cladding and rides on 17-inch black alloys. While the rear end of the crossover hasn’t revealed yet, it should also be inspired by the FNR-Carry All Concept SUV.

The interior on the crossover is a mystery and only time will tell what’s there on offer. Just like the interior, there is no information about the powertrain on the 2020 Chevrolet Trailblazer either.

The American version of the Trailblazer is, however, powered by 2.5-litre inline-four engine or a 3.6-litre V6 motor and the power is sent to the wheels via a nine-speed automatic gearbox.

While the possibilities of this new Trailblazer replacing the model sold in the Philippines are sim, we hope Chevrolet to bring this sexy crossover to the country in some or the other.
