2020 Isuzu D-Max spotted while testing in Europe
MANILA: Just like the recently launched facelifted 2019 Mitsubishi Strada, we might be treated with an updated version of the Isuzu D-Max very soon. Or, we may even get a brand new model altogether.
Running very well in the Philippine market since 2013, the D-Max’ production in the Philippines will be halted soon, however, that will not be stopping us from getting our hands on the pickup’s newest iteration.
The new Isuzu D-Max was spotted with a camouflage while it was being tested in the challenging cold weather conditions of Europe. Looking at the spy shots, we see the front of the pickup a little more upright than the current generation D-Max. The headlamps are slimmer and still house the U-shaped DRLs.
We expect the new pickup to be larger than before as the doors in the images appear to be grown in size. Even the bed appears to be a tad taller than the one on the on-sale D-Max. While the taillamps in the images look similar to the present ones, we expect the pickup to come with new units when it launches.
Mechanically, the new D-Max should continue to house the 1.9-litre BluePower turbodiesel engine. However, the speculations suggest that the 3.0-litre motor may go through some revisions before going inside the revamped Isuzu D-Max.
With the first leak already out there, we now expect more and more spy shots and newer leaks to come up on the internet one after the other.
