2020 Suzuki Ertiga gets a new set of alloys, and more
MANILA: The all-new Suzuki Ertiga already flaunted a radical makeover, didn't it? The Japanese MPV was rolled out of the production facilities with some high-intensity changes inside out. Following the launch, it didn't take long for the revisited Ertiga to allure the masses in each of the markets that it was launched in and hand Suzuki some high sales figures. Furthermore, the introduction of the all-new Ertiga was followed by the arrival of the updated models of its rivals like the Toyota Avanza and the Honda BR-V.
In order to stay in contention and make a case stronger than its competitors, Suzuki has, once again, rewarded its best-selling MPV with some minor updates for the 2020 model year. While the updates and additions are minimal and very few numbers, they still hold quite a lot of relevance and might just end up enticing more customers. Launched in Indonesia before any other market, the 2020 Suzuki Ertiga will be available in a brand new color that goes by the name "Brave Khaki".
Moreover, the segment-leading MPV will now ride on a new set of six-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels. When compared to the previous alloys, the new units look more sporty and attractive for sure. Last but not least, the third change comes in the form of digital climate controls instead of the conventional dials inside the cabin. The stuff under the hood remains the same the 2020 Suzuki Ertiga continues to draw its power from the 1.5-litre VVT mill engine that churns out 103 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 138 Nm of torque. Also, the transmission options include the same four-speed automatic and the five-speed manual.
Barring the three aforementioned updates, the 2020 Suzuki Ertiga remains to the same MPV as before and features the same set of elements such as a sporty front bumper, wide chrome grille, projector headlights, L-shaped tail lamps, comfortable seating for seven, 803-litre boot space with the third row folded down, 8-inch touchscreen display, and a host of safety features like multiple SRS airbags, ABS with Electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), ISOFIX child seat mounts, side-impact door beams, and others.
So, will the updated 2020 Ertiga come to the Philippines? Well, since the mildly revamped MPV has been introduced in Indonesia and the Philippine-specs Suzuki Ertiga comes from there only, we should indeed receive the slightly revisited MPV soon enough.
