2020 Tokyo Auto Salon to feature retro Suzuki Jimnys by DAMD

MANILA: The 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon is going to be a treat too delicious for the automobile devotees. Suzuki, in particular, will light up the stage with various models like the Swift Sport Katana Edition, Hustler Street Base, and the Jimny Sierra Marine Style. As if the three uniquities for display by Suzuki weren't enough, DAMD, a custom shop will be further extending Suzuki's presence at the mega event with its Suzuki Jimny "The Roots" and the Suzuki Jimny "Dronco".

Both of the retro-styled Jimny 4x4s take inspiration from vintage models and are sure to attract large crowds at the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon. Starting with the Suzuki Jimny "The Roots", the modern-day 4x4 packs in a look inspired by the first-generation Jimny that made its way out of the production facilities in the 1970s. All of the black steel wheels, white front grille, and the steel bumper make the new Jimny resemble the retro 4x4 very well. Also, the classic yellow finish alongside the white roof further enhances the retro-styled 4x4s appearance.

Then comes the Suzuki Jimny "Dronco" that has taken cues from the Ford ute of the 1960s. It vaunts a nearly identical front grille for a proper retro look. Moreover, the signature blue finish alongside the contrasting front grille, bumpers, roof, and wheels that come dipped in white make the Suzuki Jimny "Dronco" a rather attractive aspect for the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon.

 

Apart from the retro-styled Jimnys, the other two units at DAMD's booth are going to be the Malibu and the Denali. The two vehicles are nothing but Honda N-Van concepts. Also, make sure to check out the Suzuki's Swift Sport Katana Edition, Hustler Street Base, and the Jimny Sierra Marine Style that the Japanese automaker will be showing off at the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon.

While the Suzuki Swift Katana Edition is a modified version of the Swift Sport paying tribute to the automaker's Katana superbike that was recently reborn following a hiatus of 12 years, the Jimny Sierra Marine Style, on the hand, is a 4x4 dedicated to fishing lover. The last model, Hustler Street Base, is for “young people who enjoy street sports such as BMX, skateboarding and dancing in the city.”.
