2020 Toyota C-HR compact SUV revealed, gets a new hybrid powertrain option
MANILA: The Japanese automaker, Toyota has updated the C-HR compact SUV for the year 2020. The new Toyota C-HR gets some new styling cues inside and outside, while a new hybrid powertrain is offered with this update.
The most significant update that Toyota C-HR has received in the powertrain department. The compact SUV comes with a new range-topping hybrid powertrain option as a 2-litre hybrid system, which takes its place just above the 1.8-litre hybrid. However, the old 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine has been dropped.
The new flagship powertrain can provide a maximum power of 182 bhp, while the 1.8-litre hybrid can only offer 120 bhp. Apart from offering more power, the 2-litre version also features updated suspension.
On the other hand, all Toyota C-HR variants come with a tweaked power steering system. Moreover, the soundproofing system is also upgraded so that the cabin of the car can be more quiet than the outgoing one.
Design-wise, Toyota C-HR gets a new design on the front and the rear. On both ends, there are new bumpers along with the LED light technology. There is a gloss black stripe on the tailgate. It comes with modern styling all around.
Inside the cabin, the Toyota C-HR specs include a new multimedia system with upgraded connectivity. It has the latest versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options.
As for the pricing, the Toyota C-HR price starts with £25,625 (PHP 1634,850). While a luxurious Design along with the Dynamic and Excel grades cost more. Moreover, all the variants come with 1.8- or 2-litre hybrid powertrains.
