MANILA: Jetour Auto Philippines has launched the X50 crossover and the T2 Terminator at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What is the price range of the Jetour X50 in the Philippines?

In the Philippine market, the Jetour X50 has a price ranging from P888,000 to P1.088 million.
  • How much horsepower and torque can the Jetour X50 produce?

The Jetour X50 can produce up to 153 horsepower and 230 Newton-meters of torque.
  • The X50 offers an impactful-looking exterior and plenty of creature comforts inside. It is well-suited to become a daily driver for folks wanting to get behind the wheel of a compact crossover model.

The T2 Terminator, meanwhile, is a meaner and tougher-looking variant of the T2 sports utility vehicle (SUV). Based on the kind of equipment it comes with, it is the kind of vehicle that strikes a good balance between comfort and 4x4 off-road capability.

Style-wise, the X50 compact crossover gets a stylish exterior enhanced by a set of two-tone 18-inch wheels, a set of sharp LED headlamp clusters, and a shapely-looking rear end. The most eye-catching detail on the crossover is, of course, a large vertically-slatted grille, which combines black and chrome inserts.

Size-wise, the model is 4,397-millimeters (mm) long, 1,841-mm wide, and 1,652-mm in height. As such, it has enough heft to face the likes of the Mitsubishi XForce and the Toyota Corolla Cross

Notably, the interior of the relatively affordable crossover gets plenty of bits intended to give comfort and convenience to its users.

Its dashboard, for instance, was bestowed with two 10.25-inch digital displays, which were seamlessly linked with each other. The one just under its leather-wrapped steering wheel is a digital gauge cluster, while the other in the middle of the dash is an infotainment system equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Other notable features of the X50 include the following:

    • Leather upholstery
    • Automatic air-conditioning
    • Push-to-start button
    • Power-adjustable side mirrors
    • Electronic parking brake
    • Front cabin center armrest

Propelling the Jetour-made five-seater model is a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 gasoline engine capable of producing up to 153 horsepower (hp) and 230 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. Power is sent to its front wheels by a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Here are the prices of the Jetour X50’s three variants as of its introduction at the 2024 PIMS:

    • X50 Journey - P888,000
    • X50 Travel - P988,000
    • X50 Sport - P1.088 million

    T2 Terminator

The T2 Terminator is a spruced-up version of the regular T2, which the Chinese car brand is equipped with Outdoor or Executive equipment kits. The two aforementioned packages include roof-mounted LED auxiliary lamps, roof rails, roof access side ladders, beefy wheel arches, and chunky front and rear bumpers.

Just like the regular T2, which was introduced earlier this year, the new variant comes with the “XWD” system. In a nutshell, the said off-road tool utilizes a computer that automatically switches the vehicle’s drivetrain between two-wheel and four-wheel drive modes for efficiency.

Additionally, the Jetour SUV’s computerized 4x4 handles its “intelligent creeping mode.” It can also choose between the vehicle’s numerous drive modes depending on terrain and traction conditions.

Speaking of computers, the burly SUV boasts a smart cockpit equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor. Its displays, meanwhile, come in the form of a 15.6-inch central infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

Under the large bonnet of the T2 Terminator is a 2.0-liter Kunpeng TGDI gasoline engine mated to a seven-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission. At maximum, the said four-banger can put out 251 hp and 390 Nm of torque.
