Jetour Auto PH will be revealing two all-new models at the upcoming 9th Philippine International Motor Show.Such a speculation came after the Chinese brand’s local arm posted its latest teaser through its official social media pages.
Just like most teaser images, however, the models are mostly draped in darkness, thus obscuring most of their fine details. Still, one of the shadowy cars is clearly a tough-looking vehicle, which hints towards the T1. The likewise boxy-looking T2, after all, was already launched by the company at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show earlier this year.
On the other hand, the smaller model model teased by the marque is more mysterious. Per the teaser image, it could be another crossover due to its high-riding stance. More sections of the car are obscured, but the shape of its LED daytime running lamps and the visible upper portions of its grille could be pointing toward the X50.
Additionally, the brand has yet to reveal the specifications and pricing details of the upcoming crossover models. We can be certain, though, that more information about the said vehicles will be disclosed at the 2024 PIMS, which is scheduled to take place from October 24-27, 2024, at the World Trade Center Manila in Pasay City.
While we wait for its official local debut, let us check out the global specifications of the T1 and X50.
Jetour T1 global specs
The global version of the Jetour T1 utilizes a 1.5-liter hybrid mill capable of dishing out about 600 horsepower (hp). It also boasts an electric-only range of 114 kilometers, thanks to its 26.7-kilowatt-hour battery.
For added traction on rough terrain, the model comes with a four-wheel-drive system. Per Jetour, the model is likewise capable of towing up to 1,600 kilograms.
Where styling is concerned, the T1 bears a boxy exterior inspired by the much larger T2. Its front fascia also has plenty of square-shaped design beats, which are complemented by a set of LED fixtures.
From the side, the global-spec T1 was provided with large wheel arches as well as generously tall windows. Its rear end, meanwhile, comes with a large tailgate, a pair of LED taillights, and a huge bumper.
Jetour X50 global specs
In other markets around the globe, the X50 is positioned to compete in the compact crossover segment as a slightly smaller alternative to the Jetour Dashing.
Under its hood is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, capable of producing up to 154 hp and 230 Newton-meters of torque. Power is sent to its front wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.
With a seating capacity of up to five, the global-spec X50 gets a plush cabin equipped with leather upholstery, an electric sunroof, a power tailgate, a pair of 10.25-inch digital displays, and automatic air-conditioning, - among others.
Depending on the market, the X50 also has several advanced driver-assist systems, including blind-spot detection, lane change assist, rear traffic alert, and a door open warning system.
