All-new 2018 Porsche Cayenne arrives in the Philippines

MANILA: Finally, the all-new Porsche Cayenne is here in the Philippines. Almost a year post its global debut, the PGA Cars Inc., the official Porsche distributor in the country, today added the new Cayenne to its line-up. The Porsche cross beauty, the 2018 Cayenne was introduced to the media and audience via a special event organised at the Powerplant Mall in Makati.

The car took centre stage at the showcasing event and looked all classy in the white splash. For the Philippines market, the car would be offered in three variants - the standard Cayenne (Php 8,500,000), mid-spec Cayenne S (Php 11,500,000), and range-topping Cayenne Turbo.

All the three trims are tuned with three distinct mills, thus giving the buyers a broad performance choice. All the engine options are paired with an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission system. The next-generation Cayenne is 65 kg lighter than the ongoing model (thanks to the use of lightweight alloys),  thus contributing positively to its performance and handling.

-The Cayenne Turbo variant is powered by a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine that produces a maximum power of 588 PS along with a peak torque of 770 Nm.

- The Cayenne S variant houses a 2.9-litre biturbo V6 engine that churns out a maximum power and torque figure of 440 PS and 550 Nm respectively.

- The base Cayenne variant comes equipped with a 3.0-litre turbo V6 which effortlessly generates 340 PS of power and 450 Nm of torque.

When compared to the previous generation Cayenne, the new one shows considerable dimension revisions. The 2018 Cayenne measures 4912 mm in length (63mm longer), 1983 mm in width, and 1697 mm in height (9mm lower). The wheelbase remains same at 2,895 mm. On the inside, it offers same spaciousness. However, the cargo area benefits from the increased length.

Porsche has adopted the same design language as seen in previous generation Cayenne. So, you can expect the see sleek design at the front and Panamera Sport Turismo look alike rear. Key design highlights include -

• Porsche's signature four LED daytime running lights
•  Larger and wider grille
• One-piece tail light

The cabin is packed with amenities taking care of passengers and driver's comfort. Along with the carried over features, the 2018 Porsche Cayenne features two seven-inch HD multi-info system and massive touchscreen infotainment system with all utility functions.
